Europro Tour 2006: Neil Walker wins the Heydon Grange Classic
Following its success in 2004 and 2005, Heydon Grange once again hosted the Europro Tour during the week 5-10 June 2006.

Neil Walker led after both first and second rounds with scores of 65 and 68.  Scoring on these days was very low with little of the 'Heydon wind' that members know all too well.  But all that changed on the third day with only 7 of the 57 field breaking par.  Neil Walker closed with a 72 to win by three shots from Eric Ramsay and Michael Skelton.

The PGA Europro Tour has become Europe's leading developmental tour, with 1000 members and a massive prize fund totalling in the region of £1M plus in 2004. The Tour provides a chance for up and coming young professionals to gain the necessary experience in competitive golf, and in particular of the additional pressures involved with televised competitions.

It aims to provide a launch-pad for the stars of tomorrow.  The most recent graduate of the Tour is John E Morgan who stunned the world in 2002 by gaining both his US PGA Tour card and European Tour card in his rookie year.  Other big names who started out on the PGA Europro Tour are John Bickerton, Van Phillips and Ryder Cup player Lee Westwood.  Lee Slattery broke through into the European Tour after his successful season on the Europro Tour.
